Renowned actress and a true epitomiser of humanity Ms. Preity Zinta donated a sum of Rs. 25 lakh to the Shimla District Red Cross Society. Ms. Zinta donated the amount she had won in the Special Holi episode of the Kaun Banega Crorepati show of March 1st. She shared the hot seat with Ms. Rani Mukherjee and won together a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh.

Ms. Zinta donated her share to the Society to help out in its welfare activities. Meanwhile, the Society has purchased an ambulance and a dead body van from the donation.
