Indian Red Cross Society has made a contribution to the Japan Red Cross for relief and rehabilitation work in areas affected by earthquake that triggered a tsunami in its coastal areas.
“It is a gesture exhibiting our solidarity with the Japan Red Cross which is in fore front undertaking massive relief work in several areas. The first instalment amounting to Rs. 1,32,37,986 has been routed through the International Federation” said, Dr. S.P. Agarwal, Secretary General of the Indian Red Cross Society. He, on behalf of the society, thanked all individuals, corporates and Red Cross Braches who held events and campaigns to raise the funds. |
