Dr Thomas R. Frieden, Director, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Greater Atlanta, USA, visited the Indian Red Cross Society, National Headquarters on 8.08.2011.
Dr Frieden, Director was briefed by Dr. S.P Agarwal, Secretary General, Indian Red Cross Society about the volunteer based Health Programmes administered by IRCS across the nation.
Dr Frieden visited the Disaster Management Centre & the Indian Red Cross Blood Bank (NHQ) and appreciated the modern infrastructure and facilities available at these Centers.
