Indian Red Cross Society is a pioneer in the field of blood services and is successfully operating one of the largest voluntary blood banks in India at National Headquarters, 1-Red Cross road, New Delhi since 1962. The IRCS, Blood Bank is also serving as a Regional Blood Transfusion Centre since 1996. IRCS (NHQ), Blood Bank collects approx. 30,000 blood units through different voluntary blood donation camps in and around Delhi annually.
The Blood Bank supplies blood / blood components to thalassemia patients (free of processing charges) and charge the processing charges from patients admitted in Govt. Hospitals, Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes in and around Delhi as per NACO / SBTC Guidelines.
This is to inform that if you wish to open a Blood Storage Centre in your Hospital. IRCS (NHQ), Blood Bank is ready to become Mother Blood Bank for linkage to your Storage Centre as per Guidelines of Drug Controller of India.
